The Rocky Mountains are known for beautiful hiking trails, sparkling waterfalls, and incredible wildlife. With countless walking paths and hiking tracks, there is a destination for everyone and every level of outdoor capability. Whether you are located in Alberta or British Columbia, there's a place to explore within these mountains!
One of my favourite places is: Harrogate. Not to get confused with the quaint town in England, this breathtaking location can be found just 30 minutes outside of the Radium Hot Springs.

This hike is not only beautiful, but it has a variety of different trails and routes you can take. Throughout you will see crystal clear turquoise rivers, rushing blue waterfalls, and breathtaking views from the top of the mountains. If you go in the spring and early summer, you will be able to see all the beautiful blooming flowers and lush green forests.
One of my favourite things about this hike is that there is not a steep, intense incline. There are many portions that are on seemingly flat (as flat as you can get in the middle of a mountain range) ground. When I hiked this trail, I even saw children walking with their parents. As a bonus, this trail is very dog friendly. My friend and I hiked with her dog and he LOVED it! So this is a great beginner hike, but the views make it worth it for any level of hiker!
Harrogate checks so many of my hiking boxes and I always recommend it to anyone passing through the mountain range. I hope this encourages you to try this trail! Comment below if its added to your hiking wish list, or if you have walked this trail before and loved it as much as I did!

I’ll definitely give this trail a go! Thanks for sharing- I hadn’t heard of it before reading about it here!
